Audrey A. Mentz

Audrey Armstrong Mentz 86, of Valhalla, N.Y. died on August 1, 2011. She was born on Sept. 6, 1924 to the late Edward and Anne (nee Boehning) Armstrong in Newton, Mass. Audrey was a graduate of St. Barnabas High School in Bronx, N.Y. She was predeceased by her devoted husband Joseph W. Mentz III in 1986 and two sisters; Ann Armstrong Riva and Arlene Armstrong Zaglauer and by her daughter in law Rosa Maria Mentz in 2010. She is survived by her loving sons; Lawrence (Barbara) Mentz of NYC, William (Phyllis) Mentz of Valhalla, N.Y. and Edward Mentz of Orland Park, ILL. Also survived by her six cherished grandchildren; Kathleen LeBlanc, William Mentz, Lawrence G. Mentz, Michael Mentz, Teresa Fox and Victoria Mentz. Reposing Hawthorne Funeral Home on Wednesday (today) 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, N.Y. on Thursday 10 AM. Interment Private.
