Arthur R. Myers

Arthur R. Myers a long time Ossining resident died October 8, 2013 at the Hudson Valley Hospital, Cortlandt Manor, NY. He was 93. Arthur worked as a Corrections Officer at Sing Sing Prison. He also worked for Pace University and the NY Central Railroad. He was born August 13, 1920 in Manhattan son of Arthur J. and Margaret Dowg. He served in the US Army during World War II and Korea. He was married to Clare Ann Furnaro who died in 2004. Locally Art was a member of Ossining Post 506 American Legion and the Moose Lodge. He is survived by nephews Russell (Victoria) Myers & Robert Palmer, Niece Cherly Kudrna, grandnephew Paul Myers and grandniece Elizabeth Myers, sister in law Florence Myers and cousin Bill Tarnelli. He is also pre deceased by one brother Russell Myers. Reposing Hawthorne Funeral Home, 21 W. Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne, NY 10532 on Friday October 11th from 7 to 9pm. Services at the funeral home on Saturday at 10am. Interment following St. Augustine Cemetery.
