Arthur J. DeAngelis passed away peacefully at his home on November 2, 2020 surrounded by his family at the age of 98 years old. He was born on April 18, 1922 to Peter and Carmella (DeLuca) DeAngelis
He is predeceased by his loving wife Lillian (Seman) DeAngelis of 22 years, his brothers, Peter, Anthony, Michael, Joseph, Rocky and his sister Ruth
He is survived by his daughters Ann Marie, Donna, and Suzanne DeAngelis as well as his grandchildren Dean ten Eicken, Tiffani DeAngelis and Joseph Ciufo and his sister Florence Hale.
Arthur was a lifetime resident of the Village of Elmsford. He served in the Air Force in World War II, and in the Air National Guard in the Korea and Vietnam wars. He continued his service with the 105Th Tactical Air Command, stationed at Westchester County Airport Air for 38 years. He served as administrator of the Medical facility at the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, NY.
Arthur served Elmsford for nearly 2 decades first as a trustee, and, from 1985 to 2003 as Mayor. He was dedicated to the Village improving the lives of the residents.
Through his careers in the Military and the Government, his proudest accomplishment was bettering the lives of people world wide.
