Arthur J. Carpenter

Arthur Carpenter 82, passed away on Friday June 23, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. He will be very much missed. Arthur was a devoted husband to his 1st love to Rita who he has been married to since Valentine’s Day in 1960. He is survived by his three children Art, Chris and Vicki and son in law Drew and his family as well as his daughter in law Fely and her family, brother Joseph and his family and brother in law Patrick Tanzillo and his family. Arthur has joined his mother, father, sister Kathleen and Sister in law Jane in Heaven. Arthur was a lifelong resident of Hawthorne who loved his family vacations, as well as caring for his home and gardens. He was a proud member of Sheet metal workers Local #38 until his retirement, where he enjoyed being with his friends and playing golf. Those who wish to remember Arthur can do so by treating everybody with kindness and respect.
