Arline N. (Seymour) Wilson

Arline Wilson, widow of Ernest Wilson, died peacefully at home on April 1, 2022 after a long illness.

Formerly a dancer, Arline went on to earn a degree in Library Science. A long career with the New York Public Library followed.

Arline's interests included modern dance and ballet, classic films, reading and gardening. A lifelong love of animals led to time volunteering for the Humane Society and ownership of several beloved cats.

Arline is survived by her sister, Marjorie Rosteing, her daughter Lauren Wilson, and her son Allen Wilson, along with cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Humane Society, the Dance Theater of Harlem, or the New York Public Library Literacy Fund.

The memorial service will be at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Avenue at South Broadway, White Plains, NY 10601. (914-949-0566), on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at 10:30 AM
