Arlene Rosner, a long-time resident of Paramus, NJ and Eastham, MA died suddenly Saturday the 12th of August at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ.
Born in 1933 in New York City, Arlene grew up in Hempstead, NY. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Hofstra College in 1955. Arlene taught elementary school before moving to England with her husband of 62 years, Martin C. Rosner, MD who was serving in the U.S. Air Force. After moving back to the U.S. and to Paramus in 1961, she continued her education at Montclair State College where she received her Master's degree and became a school psychologist in Northern New Jersey.
Arlene was a world traveler, visiting 5 continents and many dozens of countries. She spent a dozen winters in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico and then seven in Indian Rocks Beach, FL. However, her true love was her cottage overlooking Cape Cod Bay in Eastham, where she spent her summers since 1971. Arlene loved being with her family and enjoyed socializing with her friends from around the world. Tennis was a passion and she played until she was 78. She will always be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and laughter.
Arlene is survived by her husband, Martin C. Rosner, MD, her children Susan Hope of Eastham, MA, Steven and his wife Carol of Milton and Brewster, MA, and Bruce and his wife Karen of Edgemont, NY. Arlene had 7 grandchildren who she adored and brought joy to her life: David, Alexa, Kate, Erin, Jared, Julia, and Olivia.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday August 15th at 2 pm at Cedar Park Cemetery Chapel on Forest Avenue in Paramus, NJ. Shiva will be observed at the family home in Paramus after the service.
