It is with great sadness that the family of Antonio DiLello announces his passing on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the age of 67. Tony was born on September 4, 1950 in Colledimezzo, Italy, and immigrated to Yonkers in 1968. He proudly worked at Stepinac High School in White Plains as a Maintenance Supervisor. Tony was an active part of the Yonkers community and was wildly passionate about soccer. In addition to being an avid fan, he enjoyed playing, coaching, and refereeing the sport. Tony will be remembered for his energy, passion for life, spontaneity, determination, and his talent to work with his hands in all facets of construction.
Antonio was surrounded by his family during his final hours and will be missed and always cherished. He is survived by his two daughters, Erica (Kevin) and Vanessa (Lyle), and his two beautiful grandchildren, Gabriella and Justin. Tony is also survived by his four siblings, Vincenzo (Licia) and Rina (Vincenzo) of Colledimezzo, Joseph (Rosa) of Yonkers, and Gina (Louie) of Garrison. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff of Sloan Kettering Memorial Hospital for their care.
Calling hours in memory of Antonio will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018 from 5 - 9 pm at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 72 East Main Street, Elmsford, NY 10523. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on July 17, 2018, 10 am, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 59 East Main Street, Elmsford, NY followed by entombment at Ferncliff Mausoleum, Hartsdale, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Antonio DiLello to Memoral Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Office of Development at PO Box 27106, New York, NY 10087.
