Antonina Anna (Macaluso) Rosiello

Antonina Anna Rosiello 90, of Brooklyn, N.Y. and most recently of Peekskill, N.Y. died on Jan. 27, 2019 at her residence. She was born on Feb. 1, 1928 to the late Alfonso and Alfansina (nee Murelli) Macaluso in NYC. Anna enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, from reading books to shooting hoops and as they grew older watching sports on TV. Anna also enjoyed tinkering, repairing and building contraptions. After her husbands death in 2017, Anna continued to live independently as she was also known for her strong will and independence. She will be missed by all. Anna was predeceased by her devoted husband, Luigi (Louis) Rosiello, whom she married of Benevento, Italy on Sept. 9 ^th , 1953 in Pompei, Italy and by her son, Louis Rosiello, Jr. in 2016 and by her siblings, Peter, Mary, Josephine, Vincent, Charles and Eugene and is survived by her loving children, Carol (Michael) Velardi of Hawthorne, N.Y., Vincenzo (Dolores) Rosiello of NYC and Jerry Rosiello of Brooklyn, N.Y. also survives is her twin brother Gaetano (Joan) Macaluso of The Villages, FL. and six cherished grandchildren, Domenick, Alexis, Robert and Matthew Velardi and Jerry, Jr. and Christina Rosiello.  Visiting at Hawthorne Funeral Home on Friday, 4-7 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, N.Y. on Saturday, 10 AM. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.
