Antonia Arpaia

Antonia Arpaia of Mount Kisco, NY, formally Mount Vernon, NY, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2024 in Mount Kisco, NY. She was 95 years old.

Born in Calore, Avellino on December 5, 1928. She was the 4th child of Antonio and Angela Fiorentino. She was raised in Calore, Avellino and attended grade school. She married Gennaro Arpaia in 1953 and moved to Avella, Avellino. They were happily married for 47 years until Gennaro passed away in 2000.

Antonia was a caring, thoughtful person, filled with unconditional love for her family and friends. She was always taking care of everyone around her. Antonia loved cooking and hosting for everyone around her, filling them with joy in their hearts and stomach. She was always ready to step in and care for anyone who needed or didn't.

Survived by a family that missed her dearly; sons Nicola Arpaia and his wife Nickie of Mount Kisco, NY, Tony Arpaia and his wife Carolyn of Brewster, NY and Joe Arpaia of Mahopac, NY, grandchildren Gennaro Arpaia and his wife Vanessa, Nicholas Arpaia, Alexa Arpaia, Anthony Arpaia, and her great granddaughter Valentina Arpaia.

Calling hours will be held Friday March 15, 2024 at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 21 W. Stevens Ave. Hawthorne, NY from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral will be held Saturday March 16, 2024 at 10:00am at Holy Rosary Church, 170 Bradhurst Ave, Hawthorne, NY
