Anthony John Zukowski passed away peacefully with his daughter and wife by his side on January 5 th . Anthony, better known as Tony Z lost his courageous battle to Covid 19. Born in Brooklyn, NY on March 9, 1942, to Frank and Blanche Zukowski, Tony graduated from the NY School of Printing in 1960 and had a lifelong career.  He was a Bindery Foreman and an expert craftsman in his trade.  He enjoyed his years employed at American Graphics, Inc. and enjoyed his time bartending at Neil’s in Tarrytown, NY. As an avid hockey lover, everyone knew him as a lifelong NY Ranger fan and was his son’s biggest supporter when they played for Sleepy Hollow Hockey.

Tony married the love of his life Gail Love on October 3, 1970.  He is predeceased by his adored son Anthony J. Zukowski Jr. in 1972 and beloved sister Frances LoPriore in 1999. He leaves behind his children, Timothy, Jeffery (Candace Zukowski) and ToniAnn (Joe Salvatore) and 6 grandchildren. He also leaves behind his devoted sisters and brothers-in-law, adored nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and all the extended family that considered him Uncle/Grandpa Tony.

Visiting at Hawthorne Funeral Home on Sunday, Jan.10, 2021 from 2:00-4:00 PM, Where Religious Services will be held at 4:00 PM.

A sincere appreciation for the extraordinary care provided by the nurse manager, nurses, NT's, Dr. Rhee, holistic nurses and the rest of 5i staff at White Plains Hospital for fighting so hard through the battle with him.

Join us as we celebrate the true spirit of Tony’s passion by wearing your favorite hockey jersey to his service. The Anthony Zukowski Memorial Hockey Scholarship Fund has been set up in his honor. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made out to Putnam Hockey Association and mailed to 13 Seward Rd, Patterson, NY 12563, attn. Jeffrey Zukowski.
