Annette Sitomer

Annette Sitomer, 84, of Tarrytown, NY, passed away surrounded by her family on June 22, 2014. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years, Alan Sitomer, who passed away in 2011. She is survived by her children, Todd Sitomer, of Springfield, NJ; Joan Sitomer and Frank DeSanto, of Ypsilanti, MI; and Barbara Sitomer and Kathie Fox of Tarrytown, NY. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren -- Matt and Wendy Sitomer, Dan and Rachel Sitomer, Tim and Rachel Sitomer, Pete Sitomer, Aaron DeSanto, Jacob DeSanto, and Kelly and Dan Kasper, as well as one great-grandchild, Benjamin Sitomer.

Irrepressible, passionate, and intensely loving, with a memorable sense of humor, Annette was fiercely devoted to her family. After raising three children she built a successful career, eventually retiring as Assistant Vice-President with Scudders, Stevens, and Clark in Manhattan.

She will be laid to rest at the non-denominational Trinity Church Cemetery and Mausoleum in Manhattan in a private ceremony for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Jewish War Veterans of the U.S.A., the United Jewish Appeal, or the American Civil Liberties Union.
