Annette L Shallo

Annette L Shallo of West Harrison passed away peacefully on Wednesday May 2nd of natural causes at the age of 86. Annette is survived by her husband Jerry, their three children, Gerard Anthony of West Harrison, Gary Anthony of Chapel Hill, NC, and Mary Alice of Brewster. She was grandmother to seven loving grandchildren and great-grandmother to one. Annette is also survived by her sister Marie Chadnick, and was predeceased by brothers Louis and Frank. A resident of West Harrison since 1950, Annette was born November 22, 1925 to Rose Nuzzi and Nicholas Colombo of the Bronx. She was a graduate of Walton High School, and worked at Metropolitan Life in Manhattan before dedicating over 20 years to the White Plains Board of Education. She married Jerry Shallo on April 13, 1947, and they recently celebrated their 65th anniversary together. Lovingly known to family and friends as "Nettie", she spent her life surrounded by those she loved as much as she was loved in return. Annette will forever be remembered for her kind and gentle nature, the love she showed to those around her, and for a home which was always welcoming to visitors.
