It is with deep sorrow that the Belevich family announces the recent death of Annette M. Belevich of Hamden, Connecticut at age 65.
Annette was born to John E. Belevich (deceased) and Evelyn M. Belevich as the fourth of five sisters. She attended Holy Rosary School in Hawthorne, New York, and nearby Westlake High School. She graduated from State University of New York at Albany with a bachelor's degree in accounting and then Pace University with a master's degree in finance and financial management services. She worked as a financial analyst at International Business Machines and at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.
Annette was an amateur photographer with a keen eye for memorializing family gatherings. In birthday cards and notes received from her there was always a beautifully composed photograph or two of the latest family events.
Annette loved to travel. Over the years, she visited her ancestral Lithuania, other European countries, and China. She would proudly return with photos and mementos after each trip. She also vacationed at the beach in summer, where she was often sighted happily lounging on a float in the Long Island Sound.
Annette also enjoyed folk dancing and performed with the dance group of the Knights of Lithuania, New Haven, Connecticut Council, including a performance in Lithuania.
Annette volunteered with the Community Emergency Response Team of the Citizen Corp of the Department of Homeland Security in Hamden, Connecticut.
Annette is survived by her mother, Evelyn M. Belevich, her sisters, Sue Belevich Schilling, (Roger Schilling), Louise Belevich, Barbara Turro (James Turro), and Marianne Belevich DeMarzo (William DeMarzo), her nieces and nephews, Thomas Turro (Molly Turro), Ellen Turro, John Turro, and Blair Schilling, her grand-nephews James, Grant, and Isaac Turro, and her grand-niece Brielle Turro.
Visitation will be on Friday, April 28, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., at Ballard-Durant Funeral Home at 21 West Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne, New York., followed by a funeral mass at 10 a. m. at Holy Rosary Church, 170 Bradhurst Avenue, Hawthorne, New York, and interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 W Stevens Ave, Hawthorne, New York.
