Anna Raffa Trapasso, of White Plains, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, died on September 10th, 2014. She was born on December 27, 1921 in Zungoli, Italy and immigrated to the United States in 1928. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Augustine F. Trapasso, and children Lorraine Verge, Dr. Joseph Trapasso, Geralyn Della Cava, Paul Trapasso; and grandchildren Nicole, Michael, Jacqueline and Alexander. Anna was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in White Plains. She lived for her family and friends, always available to help in anyway needed, never saying no, whether an ear to listen, a meal to make, or clothing to sew. She volunteered at St. Agnes Hospital and sewed for Rosary Hill Home for 20 years. She loved and gave all to family, friends and strangers. Calling hours will be held at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home, 2 Maple Avenue, White Plains on Friday, September 12th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian burial to be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on Saturday, September 13th at 10 am. Burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Rosary Hill Home, 600 Linda Avenue, Hawthorne, NY.
