Anna Faraguna 95, of Valhalla, N.Y. and formerly of Whitestone Queens, N.Y. died peacefully on Oct.14, 2009 at Calvary Hospital in Bronx, N.Y. She was born on Sept.10, 1914 to the late Dominick and Maria (nee Cos) Knapich in Port, Albona (Trieste) Italy. Anna was predeceased by her devoted husband Domenico Faraguna in 1992 and 1 son Marino Faraguna in 1998 also 1 brother Giuseppe Nappi and 1 sister Pierina Burul. She is survived by her loving daughters; Annamaria Forte and her partner A. Umberto Amato of Valhalla, N.Y. and Fiorella Romano and her husband John of Cincinnati, Ohio. and daughter in law Giuliana Faraguna of NJ. 1 sister Maria Scopas of Trieste, Italy. Also survived by 8 adoring grandchildren; Paul Faraguna, Gianluca (Maya) Romano, Marina (James) Mitchell, Francesca (Sean) Zimmer, Dr.Matthew Forte
(Maura) Pierclaudio (Elizabeth) Romano, Raffaella (Steven) Hemphill and Sandra (Michael) Srihari and 12 cherished great grandchildren; Matthew, Alessandra, Isabella Zimmer, Owen and Ethan Mitchell, Daniel and Christopher Romano, Henry and Frank Hemphill, Jack and Tyler Srihari and Matthew Forte, Jr. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Friday (today) 5-9 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, N.Y. on Saturday 10 AM. Interment, St.Raymonds Cemetery, Bronx, N.Y. In lieu of flowers donations to Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or American Heart Association would be appreciated.
