Ann I. (Scalone) Giordano

Ann I. Giordano 85, of Fishkill, NY and formerly of Thornwood, NY passed away on Oct. 5, 2019. Ann was born on Nov. 16, 1933 to the late Florian and Ida (nee DeSimone) Scalone in Mt. Vernon, NY. Anne was a long time member and past president of the Columbiettes. Ann’s great sense of humor and love for her family is what she was known best for. Ann took pride in taking care of her family and friends. Ann’s famous saying “it is what it is” will always be remembered by her close family and friends. Ann was predeceased by her devoted husband Joseph N. Giordano in 2017. She is survived by her loving children Maria Elena (Seb) Formoso of Cortlandt Manor, NY and Michele (Boris) Lopez of Fishkill, NY. Also survived by her sister Linda Scott of Florida, her sister in law Carol Scalone of Garrison, NY, and her three cherished grandchildren Danielle Lopez, Gabrielle Formoso and Sophia Lopez. Ann was predeceased by her brother Raymond Scalone in 2010. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne, NY on Wednesday 10 AM. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY to follow. In lieu of flowers donations in Ann’s name to Hudson Valley Hospice 374 Violet Ave Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 would be appreciated.
