Early Friday morning, on January 31st, Anita passed peacefully in her sleep. Anita enjoyed reading, current events, going to the movies and dining out. She also enjoyed music- playing the drums and the marimba. Anita was always interested in people and sought connections wherever she was. When she first retired, Anita spent a significant amount of time in Israel where she performed volunteer work and felt at home. In recent years, Anita found a home at Congregation Kol Ami where she regularly enjoyed the clergy, congregants, music and services. Anita served many in her career as a psychologist for New York State. She enjoyed her work and often said that she retired too early.
Anita is survived by two daughters, Suli (Howard) and Sylvia (Howard), four grandchildren, Nicole (AJ), Andrew (Nicole), Evan, and Liana, one great granddaughter Madison, and several grand and great grand dogs.
For those who would like to make donations in Anita’s memory, the family suggests: Congregation Kol Ami, Planned Parenthood, or The ALS Association.
May her memory always be a blessing.
