Angela DeMatteis

June 19, 1939 — March 28, 2025

Scarsdale, NY

Angela DeMatteis, of Scarsdale, NY, peacefully departed this life on March 28th, 2025 at the age of 85. Born in Mount Vernon to the late James and Anna Stallone, she was one of five siblings.

At just 15, she met the love of her life, the late Nicholas DeMatteis. Their remarkable union spanned 60 beautiful years. Together they raised six children: Nicholas, Ronald, Carolyn, Diane, Alphonso, and Jean. She often described their early years at "419" as some of the happiest times of her life.

Angela dedicated 25 years to the cosmetics industry at the Clinique counter in Lord & Taylor, where she forged enduring friendships that felt like family. Her warmth and expertise made her a sought-after presence at the counter; as one customer remarked, she had a unique ability to make everyone feel "beautiful inside and out." Affectionately known as the "Clinique Lady," she was always ready with free samples and invaluable beauty advice. A true icon, radiating grace and beauty until her last breath.

A woman of profound faith, she consistently expressed gratitude to God for her many blessings, with her loved ones always at the forefront of her heart. She was surrounded by angels and we are eternally grateful for all of them.

There is a poignant saying: "It matters not how much we own-the cars, the house, the cash... What matters is how we live and love and how we spend our dash." Angela's dash signifies a life well-lived, where the small moments truly mattered. From preparing meals for her family, taking strolls by the water, watching a ball game, or attending all of her grandchildren's events, her life was a testament to the love she shared.

As a true matriarch (lovingly known as "Nanny"), she is survived by her six children, eleven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. While her presence will be intensely missed, she will live on in the cherished memories that remind us the importance of family... a bond unbroken by death.

May she dance again in Heaven with her beloved husband, Nicholas, and all those who departed before her. In the embrace of eternal love, may she find peace, and may we find comfort in knowing that her spirit will continue to shine brightly, guiding us through our own journeys. In our hearts, she will forever be dancing, watching over us with love.
