Andrew Michael Hopkins

Andrew Michael Hopkins 80, of Pearl River, N.Y. and formerly of Brooklyn, N.Y. Died on June 11, 2009. He was born on August 29, 1928 to the late Thady and Mary (nee Sullivan) Hopkins in Cornomona, Co. Galway Ireland. Andrew was a retired mechanic for 42 years with Brooklyn Union Gas. He was predeceased by his devoted wife Mary (nee O'Donnell) Hopkins in 2000. Andrew is survived by his loving children; Kevin Hopkins and his wife Maureen of Hawthorne, N.Y., Timothy Hopkins and his wife Barbara of Blauvelt, N.Y. and Mary Jane Donohue and her husband John of Monroe, N.J. 2 brothers; Thomas and James Hopkins and 1 sister Mary Gibbons. Also survived by 8 cherished grandchildren; Stephanie, Tommy, Kevin, Megan, Sarah Hopkins and Erin, Brian and Kathleen Donohue. Reposing Hawthorne Funeral Home on Sunday 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Rosary Church Hawthorne, N.Y. on Monday 10 AM. Interment, Rockland Cemetery, Sparkill, NY.
