Andrew Joseph Bratton 31, passed away at Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, NY on Friday January 7, 2022 after a short illness. Andrew was born August 1990 at White Plains Hospital, NY, He was the eldest of two children of Eugene and Sheila (McGurran) Bratton.
Andrew cherished his summer vacations in Ireland along with his sister Fiona making memories with his cousins, grandparents, aunts & uncles. He loved the freedom of the countryside and knew when he landed, they would pick up right where they left off. He spoke highly of each of them and praised everyone’s success and happiness.
If you talked to anyone, you know that Andrew had a heart of gold. Andrew enjoyed playing sports especially baseball with Kensico Little League and he also played football for Valhalla HS. One of his first proudest moments in life was when he helped Valhalla beat Westlake with a winning field goal. He gave back to his community by volunteering as an assistant coach for the CYO basketball program at Holy Name of Jesus Church in Valhalla and he was also a volunteer for the Valhalla Fire Department for 13 years . Andrew grew, learned, and supported others. He made lifelong friends along the way.
Andrew cherished spending time with and adored his niece, Olivia. She was his Cutie Pituti.
Andrew is survived by his loving parents, Eugene and Sheila Bratton, his sister Fiona, and his niece Olivia. He is also survived by his best friend, his biggest fan, Jessy, who constantly reminded him to just keep swimming. Andrew is also survived by his large Irish family with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins in the USA and in Ireland, all of which loved him immensely.

Visitation will be held at the Hawthorne Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8 PM. Funeral Mass, Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla, NY on Saturday at 10AM. Entombment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY to follow.
