Ana Teresa Chester

Ana Teresa Chester de Jesus, age 86, died peacefully in the early morning hours of Thursday, November 10, 2011.

Ana was born on November 12, 1925 in Santurce, Puerto Rico to Gabriel de Jesus and Angelina de Jesus Rosa. In 1959, she married the late William Chester, Sr. and they were parents to William (Buzzie) Chester, Jr. Most of Ana's adult life was spent in the Maryland area. In 2004, she moved to White Plains, NY to be closer to her extended family. Over the last 7 years, Ana enjoyed spending time with her family , participating in Marlon Sobol's music programs and seeing her great grand nephew grow up.

Survivors include son William Chester, Jr., granddaughter Lauren Cerna, great granddaughter Bailey as well as sisters Aida Villafane, Gloria Sosa and brother Miguel de Jesus; nephews Rafael and Stephen Villafane and grand nephew Michael (Valerie) Villafane, great-grand nephew Soren E. Villafane as well as many friends and extended family.

Throughout her life Ana loved music , enjoyed fine food and spending time with her family. Her kindness and spirit of thankfulness made her a joy to be around.
