Allan J Gale

March 1, 1935 — July 7, 2009

Born on March 1, 1935 Departed on July 7, 2009

Allan J. Gale, the loving father of daughter Cindy Gale Miranda and son Robert Pardua, passed in White Plains, NY, on July 7 from pneumonia resulting from his battle with Multiple Myeloma. He was 74. Allan was born the son of Maurice and Helen Gale in Brooklyn, NY, on March 1, 1935. He graduated from Pennsylvania Military College (now Widener University) in 1956, and served in the United States Army Corps of Engineers from 1956 until he was honorably discharged as a Major in 1965. He spent time in both Korea and Japan, and was also a paratrooper. After serving his country for nine years, Allan continued his career in engineering with a number of construction firms until he retired from Perini Corp. of Peekskill, NY, as chief estimator in September 2007. To know Allan was to love him! His dry sense of humor and limitless devotion to his two loving children where just a part of Allan's charm. Living in Stamford, CT, Allan spent a majority of his time searching for the most unique holiday presents throughout the year, scanning the store circulars for the best deals and listening to Willie Nelson, Frank Sinatra and C&egraveline Dion. Once retired, Allan started his second career as a self appointed restaurant consultant for Bennett's Steak and Fish restaurant in Stamford. Without pay, Allan spent many a night barking orders at the staff while nibbling on lobster and sipping scotch from table number 10. Bennett's became Allan's home away from home and the staff became his second family. Chances are if you saw Allan in the past 10 years, you probably saw him Bennett's! Allan seemed to touch everyone he met, and he will be missed by all who knew him.
