Albert Gallarello

A member of what has been called the Greatest Generation, Al was born at his home in the Bronx on April 15, 1924 to the late John and Victoria Gallarello. He was a proud World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 - 1945. Al married Claire Brew on May 22, 1948; they were married for 59 years until Claire's death in July 2007. He was a devoted father to Kevin, Jean, the late Tommy and father-in-law of Chuck Adami. He was a beloved grandpa to Alex, Kate and Rhianna Adami and a constant companion to our dear dog Teddy. His brothers Anthony and George and his sister Marie predeceased him. His younger brother John survives him. If you knew Al you know that he was never at a loss for words! He was passionate about all types of music, loved golf and was a life long New York Giants fan. Al enjoyed 93 years of good health and truly had a wonderful life. We will celebrate his life on Wednesday July 5th at Ballard-Durand Funeral Home at 2 Maple Avenue in White Plains from 7 - 9 pm. Set sail Al, the wind is at your back, the skies are blue overhead, and the seas are calm. Your time with us will always be cherished and we wish you Godspeed as you embark on your new journey.
