Albert Henry Delco

Albert Henry Delco, 65, peacefully passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016 after a battle with cancer. Bert was born March 24, 1950 in Bronx, New York to Ludwig Ernest Delco and Thea Else Schaefer Delco. He studied architecture at Westchester Community College and followed that passion as a general contractor throughout his life.

Bert is survived by his mother, Thea Delco; daughter, Teah Grant; sons, Brad (Megan) Delco and Reid (Jessica) Delco; five grandchildren, Sophie and Sara Grant, Davis, Decklan and Dylan Delco; brother Kenneth (Kathy) Delco; nieces, Erika and Elizabeth Delco and Jenniphure (Tyson) Delco Goeltz. Bert was preceded in death by his father, Ludwig Delco.

When remembering Bert Delco there is one word that continually comes to mind and that word is family. Bert had a love for his children that every child dreams to have from a father. He dedicated his whole life to fulfilling their every need and loving them unconditionally. Not only was he a dedicated father but he was a loyal, loving brother and a servant minded son. Bert was a true family man. What an amazing example he left for his children to follow. "Well done my good and faithful servant." Matthew 24:21

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 11:00am with visitation one hour prior to service. Ballard-Durand Funeral Home in White Plains is in charge of arrangements.
