Adolph (Mel) Melagrano

Adolph (Mel) Melagrano 91, of Somers, N.Y. and formerly of Hawthorne and Pleasantville, N.Y. died on Sept.24, 2020 at his residence. He was born on August 15, 1929 to the late Dominick and Theresa (nee Mariano) Melagrano in Mt. Vernon, N.Y. He served proudly in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Mel was a retired Supervisor with Con Edison in Westchester County and NYC for over 40 years retiring in 1988. He was an active and proud member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Dominic Council in Thornwood, N.Y. where he served as Grand Knight and 4 ^th Degree Knight. Mel is survived by his devoted wife, Isabelle (nee Arcuri) Melagrano of Somers, N.Y. and by his loving children, Arthur (Judi) Melagrano of Westchester County, Stephen (Beth) Melagrano of Indian River County, Judy Ann Melagrano of Westchester County, Teresa (Bruno) Melagrano-Masciana of Green County and Karen (Ian) Melagrano-Tauss of NYC. two brothers, Joseph and Dominick and one sister, Gloria. also survived by his nine cherished grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Predeceased by one brother, Frank. Funeral Mass, St. Joseph’s Church, 95 Plum Brook Road Somers, N.Y. 10589. Interment, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.
