Robert M. Dubow, loving husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather, passed away on February 13, 2022.
Robert was born in Brooklyn, New York on December, 23, 1932 to Joseph L. and Lucy Dubow. He attended The Lawrenceville School and graduated from Yale University in 1954 with a Bachelor of Arts. Robert had a love of learning, and continued his studies at Columbia University, receiving a Master of Arts in 1956 and a Bachelor of Laws from Columbia Law School in 1959.
Robert pursued a legal career, practicing corporate and securities law for over 50 years. Early on in his career, he joined the Staff of the Securities and Exchange Commission, including serving as Branch Chief of the New York Regional Office from 1964 to 1965. Thereafter, Robert entered private practice, spending most of his career as a member of Danziger, Bangser, Klipstein, Goldsmith, Greenwald and Bangser, Klein, Rocca & Blum LLP, and eventually forming his own law firm, Samson, Fink & Dubow LLC. Robert represented the Quality Bakers of America throughout his career in private practice.
Robert married his wife Marcie in 1965, and together they raised their family in Edgemont, where they lived happily for over 40 years. They recently moved to White Plains. Robert was an avid reader, a lover of Mozart, and had a keen interest in European history. More than anything, he loved his “three girls” and his extended family and friends.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Marcie, his brother, Peter S. Dubow, his daughters, Lucy Dubow Halpern and Rachel Dubow Mendelson, his sons-in-law, Jeffrey Halpern and Peter Mendelson, and his granddaughters, Arielle Halpern and Noelle Mendelson.
Memorial and burial to be held privately. Donations in Robert's memory may be made to the American Heart Association or the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.
