Michael J. Pisani, Jr. was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 4, 1938 to Michael J. Pisani, Sr. and the former Margaret Vespoli. He graduated from Brooklyn Technical High School in 1956 and Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn in 1959. Upon graduation he was commissioned in the U.S. Army Reserve and completed Army Combat Engineer training at Fort Belvoir, VA in 1960. He was employed by the New York City Transit Authority for 38 years as a civil engineer and project manager who maintained, built and refurbished train yards and stations throughout the New York City subway system. Following his retirement in 1994, Mike worked for M-Track Construction Company in the Bronx until 2007.

Michael met his wife-to-be, Aida Karabatzakian, at a wedding in 1963. They married in 1965 and settled in Yonkers where they raised their three children. Community and church involvement were important aspects of Mike's life, having coached little league baseball for several years and later becoming a poll worker for the local election board. At St. Gregory's Armenian Church during the past 45 years Mike was an active member of the Men's Club and was elected to the Parish Council, serving at times as Treasurer and as Council President. He also served as a member of the church Building Committee for many years, including during the 1990s when the Committee oversaw the development and construction of the new church and hall in White Plains. Mike enjoyed traveling, watching baseball and hockey, running his model train collection, endlessly tinkering with his vintage British convertible sports cars, and, most especially, time spent with his grandchildren. Michael is survived by his wife Aida, daughter Valerie (Rich) Mendelson, sons Michael (Kristen) and John (Stacy), and six grandchildren. May he rest in peace.
