María Dolores "Lola" Arango

María Dolores "Lola" Arango, age 90 passed away on July 14, 2022. She is survived by her three children and three grandchildren, who made up her entire world, Liliana, Jorge, Adriana, Sebastian, Natalia and Marcus. She arrived to American in February of 1978 in pursuit of the American dream. She came from humble beginnings in Colombia.  A resident of White Plains for forty-four years. Lola was a pioneer for our family alongside her younger sister, Sonia. Lola worked hard to build a path for her children to become professionals. Today all her hard work has paid off. Our mother Lola is adored and loved by her siblings, nieces, nephews, and their children. She was sassy, strong spirited and spoke her truth with no filter. Lola opened her heart and home to anyone that was in need of a place to stay. Many can attest to her kindness. Her favorite color was red. She loved her red lipstick and love listening to her tango music. Come join us in a celebration of her 90 years of life.
