On April 30, 1961, she was united in holy matrimony to Willie Brown. Into this union one child was born, Lisa Stephanie Brown. In the late 1950’s, Ruthie began her career working for the Westchester County Court System. After more than 40 years of service, she retired in 1992.  Ruthie, whose faith was of great importance to her, cherished studying the Bible with her Jehovah Witness family. She had a passion for cooking and gardening as well. Ruthie enriched her life by extensively traveling all around the world. She was also an avid shopper, who enjoyed dressing to impress. Ruthie loved her family, to which she was firmly devoted and in return she was adored. Everyone looked forward to her presence at all of the family events. My dear Lisa & the Turner Family,

While words fail to capture the pain of losing a love one, we can look forward to seeing Ruth again by means of a resurrection which the Bible gives us at Acts 24:15. (“And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous ”
I hope you find some comfort in knowing that our dear Ruth is safe in Jehovah God’s memory, who will remember every detail about her and bring her back to life. This is the hope that Ruth had and strongly believed in.

Remember, Jehovah understands how you feel and will give you strength to endure, and we hope our prayers for you and the family will bring some comfort during this time of great loss
    .
    We love you!

To the Brown and Turner Family, I offer Numbers 6:24-26: (“May Jehovah bless you and safeguard you. May Jehovah make His face shine upon you, and may He favor you. May Jehovah lift up His face toward you and grant you peace.”) Please know that Sister Brown is in our Heavenly Father, Jehovah God’s, loving Memory. May you find comfort in His reassuring words at 2 Kings 20:5 where He tells you this: “I have heard your prayer. I have seen your tears. Here I am healing you.”

To Lisa and the Turner family,

May Jehovah comfort you during this most difficult time. We look forward to the day when Revelation 21:4 comes about (” And he will wipe out every tear
from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”) Sister Brown
looked forward to this day as well. We will all miss her dearly in the Greenburgh Congregation.
