Raymond Charles Sassano, a longtime resident of West Harrison, NY, passed away on November 30, 2018. He was 61. Ray was the owner of Universal Alarms and Systems, Inc. for over 25 years. He was a son of Mathew (surviving) and the late Anna Sassano. Ray was the cherished husband of Marianne and the loving father of Rayna, Kira and Luke Sassano and his pup Rosie, all of whom survive him. He is survived also by his brothers Matthew (Corinna) and Joseph and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Ray was an accomplished musician who enjoyed playing guitar from the age of 7. He was an enthusiastic Yankees and Giants fan. Ray's family meant everything to him and his greatest wish was for his children to be happy. He was easygoing and fun-loving and also a kind and gentle soul. We have lost a good man and Ray's absence will forever be felt by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Unity Center of Norwalk or St. Christopher's Inn.

Hi Matty Sassano. This is Joe Bonacci . Don’t know if you remember me but we were 12 or 14 year old best buddies for a while in Hartsdale NY right before you moved from Hartsdale. Sorry to hear about your brother. I heard from an e mail from Marie Altera (now Pelligrino).
Again so sorry to hear about Raymond.

My heart aches. Although our time together was short, we had so many great memories together. I will always cherish the music we created and the friendship that emerged from that love of music. It was an honour to be Ray’s friend. My most sincere condolences go out to Marianne, Luke, Kira, Rayna and family. Ray was a spectacular person and the world is a better place because of him.
