Frank D’Ambrosio, son of Joseph and Laura D’Ambrosio, passed away peacefully on October 19th, 2020. Frank is survived by his wife Faye and his daughter Lauren.

Frank was born on September 5th, 1966 in Yonkers, New York. He grew up and attended school in White Plains and Harrison. Frank was an avid ice hockey player throughout high school. He subsequently attended Westchester Community College and obtained an Associate Degree in Applied Science.

Frank spent his entire career at Southern Westchester BOCES as a Special Education Technology Facilitator.  He loved his work with computers and computer programming.  During his 30+ years at BOCES, Frank was dedicated to supporting and teaching children, teachers, and administrators.  He especially enjoyed teaching children with special needs to access and utilize technology. He developed many special friendships with colleagues during his years at BOCES.

Frank volunteered at the Wooster Mountain Shooting Range as a range officer.  He was the welcoming face that greeted everyone upon arrival and loved to share his knowledge and experience. He was dedicated to teaching, and ensuring the safety of, all who utilized the range.

Frank loved the outdoors - the water, woods, fishing. He enjoyed cooking and was king of the barbeque (salmon and ribs!). He also enjoyed sports and was an avid fan of the New York Jets and the Philadelphia Flyers, no matter how much they ailed. His fun and cheerful personality (and cooking) will be missed by all who knew him.

A wake and funeral service is scheduled for Friday, October 23rd, 2020 from 4pm-8pm. All are invited to attend and celebrate Frank’s life.

    Faye and Lauren,

We do not know what to say to ease your pain. Frank and you will be remembered in our thoughts and prayers forever. We watched him grown from a young man into a talented, thoughtful, husband and father and were so proud of all his accomplishments.

I am so very sad to loose my dearest friend Frank.
He was a true friend in every sense of the word.

God Bless and keep you Frank. Your smile and genuine happiness always came forth whenever you visited our class. Always there to help and solve whatever problem was presented. It is clear you lived your life putting others ahead of yourself. Love for your family and friends and your life was apparent in all that you did. You have left your mark and will be missed. With sincere sympathy to your dear family.
