    I’m Free
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free
I’m following the path God has laid you see.
I took His hand when I heard him call
I turned my back and left it all.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life’s been full, I savored much
Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief
    .
Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and peace to thee
God wanted me now; He set me free.

I will always cherish the 21 years I have known my great grandfather, Opapa. Especially in the last few years being so close to Opapa and spending so much time with him, I feel beyond blessed to have had a close relationship with such a wise, loving, smart, determined, and (stubborn) man. Thank you to my Oma for bridging that generational gap. I love you Opapa.

Alois was a very special man. He was a great father to Maria and her sister And loved his grand kids and great grand kids. . I remember going to Alois’s 100th Birthday Party he was so happy being surrounded by all his friends and family. I also remember he liked watching the WWE wrestling and was so happy when Maria took him to see the wrestlers live! He was so excited. . At the end of his life Marie really took good care of him. May Alois Rest In Peace now he had a long wonderful life.
